It came into our care one year during the month of March under the “sugar moon,” the last full moon before spring. Indigenous peoples noted this moon by the sweet sap of the sugar maple trees flowing and considered it to be a time of “renewal, magic, and miracles.” The sap was found to be healing and balancing after a long, cold winter.
